One of the most significant developments driving Mexico’s infrastructure growth is Walmart de México y Centroamérica’s recently announced $6 billion investment. This ambitious plan includes opening approximately 2,500 new retail locations and building state-of-the-art distribution centers across the country. It’s expected to create thousands of jobs and fuel large-scale infrastructure development in every region.

Walmart already operates in over 580 cities nationwide, using three distinct formats to meet market needs: Bodega Aurrera, Mi Bodega Aurrera, and Bodega Aurrera Express. One of the newest additions, located in Mexicali, joins the 31 Bodega Aurrera locations already serving customers in Baja California.
